TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
- NEW ACCOUNTS – all new accounts will be prepaid by credit card [visa or master card].
- CREDIT TERMS – credit terms may be requested after three (3) credit card transactions. A credit application must be submitted with three (3) supplier references. The credit application will only be process if the account has a minimum $1000 in purchase per year. Once credit approved, terms will be Net 30 days. Credit Card payment will not be accepted for accounts with Terms, unless paid within 30 days.
- INTEREST – 2% per month is charged on all past due accounts and will result in a loss of credit privileges.
- COST OF COLLECTION – should the account be sent to collection for non payment. The borrower agrees to pay in addition to the principal and interest due hereon, all reasonable cost of collection, including, without limitation, legal fees and all other cost and expense related to the recovery of the owned amount.
- NSF CHEQUE – will incur a $30 service charge and credit terms will be revoked.
- TAXES – CANADA: items that are subject to taxes will be indicated with an asterisk [*] on your invoice and with the letters [TX] in our catalogue. US: orders are not subject to taxes.
- PRICES – subject to change without notice.
- MINIMUM OPENING ORDER – contact our sales representative in your area.
- SHIPPING CANADA: regular ground, FOB Morin-Heights, QC.
- SHIPPING US: Regular ground, FOB Champlain, NY.
- BACK-ORDERS – under $30 will be cancelled.
- DAMAGE OR LOSS –Upon receiving your shipment, we kindly ask you to inspect thoroughly the shipping boxes for any visible damages before acknowledging receipt of the goods. If any damages are observed, please promptly note them with the carrier upon delivery and then immediately inform Gourmet du Village. Failure to report damages on the waybill will result in claim refusal. In the unfortunate event that your parcel arrives damaged without the carrier requesting a signature, we recommend taking clear photographs of both the exterior boxes as well as the affected products and promptly emailing them to sales@gourmetduvillage.com. It’s essential for customers to complete our claim form within 30 days of receiving the goods. All claims not made within 30 days of receipt of goods will be refused. Credits are applied to the customer’s account.For collect shipments, any claims for damages must be filed directly with the transporter.Your cooperation in following these procedures ensures a swift and efficient resolution in the event of damage or loss during transit.
- RETURNS – with FDA regulations regarding [homeland security and bioterrorism], we cannot accept returns.
- REFUSED DELIVERY – full freight (to and from) will be billed to your account.
- MIXED CASES – we reserve the right to change the contents of mixed cases and kits depending on product availability.
- PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS – our tableware items are all hand made and colours may vary by batches. Components may change without notice and we may at our discretion substitute similar components of equal quality and value.
- UNAUTHORIZED REPRODUCTION OF IMAGES – from our website and catalogue are prohibited.
- TRADEMARKS – Concept Gourmet du Village, ULC owner of trademark for Gourmet du Village Logo (CND, US and UK), snowman poop (CND and US), naughty or nice and rein-deer noses (CND).
